The public is invited to assist in the identification of historical hazard events, ranking of county hazards, and developing goals & objectives to help guide hazard mitigation activities across Muskegon County. Just read through the draft sections posted below, and then let us know if you have anything to add or correct. These sections are excerpts from Muskegon County Hazard Mitigation Plan which is currently being updated by the West Michigan Shoreline Regional Development Commission. When completed and approved by FEMA, this plan will help qualify the county and local communities for assistance following a disaster declaration.
