In the summer of 2019, WMSRDC began the process of assisting Big Prairie Township with updating the community’s recreation plan. The plan was completed and adopted by the township in January 2020, and approved by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) in March. The township is now eligible to apply for recreation improvement grants offered by the DNR through the year 2024.
