Overview 
WMSRDC’s transportation planning work is organized into four connected program areas: Metropolitan Transportation Planning for the region’s urbanized area, Regional Transportation Planning for broader multi-county coordination and technical assistance, Rural Transportation Task Force Planning for the allocation and administration of rural federal transportation funds, and Small Urban Transportation Planning for eligible smaller urban communities. Together, these programs help coordinate investment decisions, support local and regional partners, and advance transportation projects that align with community needs and state and federal requirements.
